Lighting & Shading

Scenes, not switches.

Lighting and motorised blinds that work together. Morning opens the house gently, evening warms it, and goodnight closes the lot from one button.

Living with it

What it feels like, morning to night.

Scenes

One press sets the whole room

Cooking, dinner, film, reading. Each scene sets every light in the room to the right level and colour of warmth. The banks of white plastic switches go away, replaced by one considered keypad.

Shading

Blinds that think for themselves

Motorised blinds and curtains that track the sun, keep bedrooms dark until you want them bright, and glide down silently as the evening scenes come on.

Design

Light layered like a designer would

We plan the light itself, not just the controls: warm dim-to-glow in the evenings, art picked out properly, gardens lit for the view from inside.

How we work

Designed first, installed once.

01

Design visit

We visit at the time of day the house matters most to you, usually the evening, and look at how the light works room by room.

02

Design and proposal

A lighting and shading plan with circuits, keypad positions and scene descriptions in plain English, priced as one document.

03

Install and aftercare

Installation timed around your decorators, scenes programmed with you in the room, and adjustments included after you have lived with it for a few weeks.

Recent project

Georgian townhouse, Hampstead.

Five floors of period rooms where the owners wanted candlelight warmth without a candle in sight. Dim-to-warm circuits throughout, silent blinds on the bedroom floors, and a goodnight button by the bed that closes the whole house.
